Troubleshooting

What to check when a scan finds nothing, reports too much, or the Pro add-on will not activate.

The Pro add-on will not activate

It declares both WooCommerce and the free Laqi Product Data Checks as requirements, and WordPress refuses to activate a plugin whose requirements are missing. Install and activate the free plugin first.

This is also why removing the free plugin while Pro is installed is not possible. The dependency is real, not advisory.

A scan reports nothing at all

  • Check the scan actually finished. The screen states when the last scan completed; if it is still running, reload.
  • Check the products are published. Drafts are not scanned.
  • Check the products are types that reach a carrier. External, grouped and variable parents are deliberately skipped, and variations are checked instead of their parent.

A scan reports far more than expected

Usually one check that does not fit your store. Under Checks, either switch that check off, which is reversible because existing findings are kept, or scope it away from the categories it does not apply to.

If a whole category of products is reported for missing dimensions, check whether your store sets dimensions anywhere at all. The check only activates on stores that already use the field.

A fixed problem keeps coming back

That is a regression, and the findings list says so: the First seen date against the product is the day it first broke, not the day of this scan. It usually means an import is overwriting good data rather than that the same mistake is being made twice. Look at what runs on a schedule against your catalogue.

The digest is not arriving

  • Scheduling is off by default; check a frequency is set and at least one recipient is listed.
  • Nothing is sent when nothing changed. A quiet week is a working week, not a broken digest.
  • Confirm the site can send mail at all. The digest uses WordPress’s own mail, so if no other WordPress mail arrives, that is the problem to solve first.
